Blog ATOP Launches 400G QSFP-DD SR8 Optical Transceivers Adopting MediaTek DSP Chips Firstly
ATOP has strategically partnered with MediaTeku00a0as the first manufacturer of optical transceivers andu00a0launched 400G QSFP-DD SR8 optical transceivers adopting MediaTek DSP chips for data centers. This solution has already entered mass production and has successfully passed compatibility tests with leading internet companies’ mainstream switches. Notably, its performance matches that of mainstream solutions from Broadcom and INPHI, all while maintaining competitive costs and delivery.
There are over 1.3 billion fixed broadband users worldwide, with over 50% of users already using FTTH. PON is an important system for providing high-speed internet, and its technology greatly reduces the cost of network construction and maintenance compared to traditional networks, with its usage continuing to rise. At this year’s FTTH exhibition, ATOP also showcased PON series products, including GPON OLT, XGS PON OLT, XG COMBO PON OLT, XGS COMBO PON OLT, GPON ONU, and XGS PON ONU etc. As an important component of broadband access network architecture, they play a crucial role in providing users with high-speed data and video services, providing on-demand network construction advantages based on specific network requirements, helping customers reduce network construction and maintenance costs, and building green networks that are energy-efficient and reduce emissions. The following diagram can give you a quick understanding of the application of ATOPu2019s PON modules in broadband access network architecture.
ATOP’s low-power 400G QSFP-DD SR8 solution has successfully passed compatibility tests with mainstream switches from companies like Huawei, H3C, Ruijie, Arista, Juniper at leading internet companies. It has also completed interoperability tests with various mainstream optical modules and long-term traffic tests with different manufacturersu2019 devices, running at full load for 168 hours without service interruptions. The equipment ports experienced no packet loss or errors, and the solution demonstrated stability and reliability in performance tests, including equipment soft and hard reboots, as well as hot and cold port insertions.
ATOP currently has a monthly production capacity of approximately 30,000 units for the 400G QSFP-DD SR8 opticalu00a0transceivers. With two factories in China and an EMS factory in Malaysia, ATOP is well-equipped to ensure a stable global supply of the 400G QSFP-DD SR8. Additionally, through our smart manufacturing platform, we can provide rapid customization services for optical transceivers ranging from 100G to 800G. This not only aids in cost reduction and consumption reduction but also facilitates technological upgrades.
